P^N (2013-2014) - Acousmatic music

P^N, that is P raise to N, is a study on the sound nature of the piano.

This acousmatic composition explores the sound behaviors of this instrument using the current technologies of sound processing and spatialization as tools to change the size both of the instrument and of the audience. The electronic processing of sounds allowed to raise to the Nth degree the already rich sound materials obtained from recordings of actions and gestures performed on the strings and soundboard of the piano.
